The non-profit organization Second Touch Soccer was started by Michael Vernau and Brian Birt in 2013. The mission was to collect and donate soccer jerseys and equipment to children across the globe to help them to experience the benefits and joy of the beautiful game of soccer.
Second Touch Soccer is now a primarily youth run organization, run by President, Ava Brusca, and her board of Isabella Hazel, Miya Alamares, Kailani Compton, and Audrey Aguirre. Together the group organizes the collection of used soccer gear. They then connect their inventory with groups locally and abroad in need of soccer equipment. Their goal is to bridge the surplus of gear with the need.
If you would like to help provide soccer equipment to those in need, there are a number of ways you can help. Please visit our DONATE GEAR page.
